Licensing

Petunia Preschool, like all other licensed preschools currently open in Oregon, is operating under an emergency childcare license. This is different than the standard license preschools receive.

Guidelines

We’re following the new guidelines of the Oregon Early Learning Division, which include new restrictions for drop-offs, visitors in the school, class sizes, safety and a lot more. The guidelines are drastic and change often and require close and frequent communication between the school and the families. To accommodate the new requirements, we’ve temporarily made some adjustments to our hours, meals and other policies.

Safety

Of course, our top priority is the safety of our teachers and families. We are closely following ELD guidelines on cleaning, contact and protection. The new requirements are sweeping and too numerous to list here, but we will review guidelines thoroughly with our families.
